Venture Capital Internship Program
Hybrid (In-Person or Remote) | Part-Time, Unpaid (10–30 hrs/week)
Build the Future of Insurance from the Ground Up
At Avondale Insurtech Ventures, we invest in pioneering innovations within one of the world’s largest and most complex industries: insurance. With a global market exceeding $7 trillion, the insurance sector is continuously undergoing technological innovations, and we aim to invest in startups utilizing an early-stage growth equity approach.
As a Venture Capital Intern, you will be taken through every step of the venture, working with founders to experienced investors. This includes deal evaluations, market research, investor research, and supporting investment decisions.
Throughout the internship period, you will be working with a Senior intern who will be taking you through the rotations. Each rotation will last 1 month, where you will then rotate to another area. You will be taken through all the steps of our research and content, deal sourcing and analysis, and business development. Throughout the week, there will be meetings to help going through the teaching lessons, our current projects, and the chance to go over questions. We aim to support our interns in any way possible, and have them work directly on projects.
Insurance technology is a niche sector often overlooked by investors who lack the right tools and expertise to navigate it. At Avondale, we partner with insurance specialists who understand the market’s potential for growth and the opportunity to deliver meaningful returns. Beyond capital, we work closely with founders to provide strategy, guidance, and resources that position them for long-term success.
What sets this internship apart is the hands-on exposure: interns work directly with the Managing Director, and our small, collaborative team. This structure means your work is visible, you have jurisdiction, and you’ll always have the support you need to learn and contribute.
